Construction of feeder road for the transportation of human/farm products to areas of needs
Feeder roads are basic necessity to the growth of a community for ease movement of people and raw materials to places of needs hence the diversification of natural endowment to other communities. The agency deem it fit with the expression of interest from community members on the need for CSDP-AF intervention hence, the goal is to create and enabling road network for easy access to communities by individuals/traders and the transfer of cash/food crops to markets for transactions and economy growth.
This viable intervention had empower the community members by giving them resources and authority to initiative, plan, part-finance, implement, supervise and own their micro projects; improve partnership between community members/representatives and Local Government Authorities on human development and natural resource related projects and also build their capacities for effective service delivery.
During the implementation, the Agency had achieved its mandate tremendously by delivering its services to the poorest of the poor and to have achieved this, the CSDP-AF has sustainably increased access of the poor people to improve on social and natural resource infrastructures in the communities.
Details of MP: Tunari is a community along river donga with a very fertile land for agriculture but with no access to road network during harvest seasons, dwellers are jukun wanu, jukun-wapan, chamba, hausa/Fulani speaking people, most of them are farmers, fisher men and traders. The community is ravage with communal conflicts; Fulani/tiv and jukun/Fulani conflicts but presently heavily guided with the presence of Nigerian Army, development is fast springing up with the government attention geared toward that, CSDP intervention had also improved the rural transporting network by the construction of this gigantic culvert which had troubled the dwellers from time past, it reality which had ease the transportation of human/farm products to the markets and place of needs, thereby improving the standard of living in Tunari community where transportation is worrisome before CSDP intervention. Individual benefiting from this project male; 987, female; 851, vulnerable; 27, totaling 1865 beneficiaries.
