The state Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq made the call at a Sustainability Workshop for selected benefiting communities organised by the State Community and Social Development Agency, in Ilorin, the state capital.
Governor Abdulrahman, who was represented by the state Commissioner for Finance and Planning, Mrs Oyeyemi Olasumbo said the importance of training exercises including enhancing skills in maintenance culture of community projects.
The Kwara State Community and Social Development Agency in her effort to penetrate more Communities and Groups within the State, disbursed funds to more Communities and Groups within the State. The benefitting Communities and Groups are Jokolu, Tanke-Ajanaku, Ikhwah, Atanda, Sabo, Egosi-Ile, Okesuna, Dada, Gaa Ayede, Kajola, Akorede, Oloje, Bokungi, Olalomi Group, Opeloyeru Group, Ojukoju Group and Sokodebawu all from Ilorin South, Ifelodun, Ilorin-West, Edu, Offa and Kaiama Local Government Areas.
Kwara State Government through Community Development Agency received 36 million Naira to commence their various micro project implementation. Some of the benefitting communities and groups are Irapa, Gaa-Uthman, Omugo, Tanke-Iledu, Oyatedo, Oke-Oyan, Aireke-Ilupeju, Olugbense, Ajoni-Olalomi, Love and Care group and Iyeru-Okin School for Special Needs. The fund disbursed served as the first tranches to kick start implementation of their first approved priority micro projects.
