The Governor of Cross River State, Sir Ben Ayade has formally inaugurated the state COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Program for Results team. The Gov was represented by his deputy Prof Evara Esu at the conference hall of the Deputy Governor's office on Monday June 29, 2020.
Giving an overview of the CARES Project, the state Team Lead and Chairperson, Dr Inyang Asibong, Commissioner for Min of Int' Dev Corporation noted that the project is design to ensure food security and provide livelihood support to poor and vulnerable families as well as facilitate the recovery of local economic activities in the state.
The visibly excited Gov whose resolved to improve livelihood of COVID-19 affected households remains unshaken, charged the committee members to work hard and justify the confidence of the state on them.

Speaking during a vote of thanks on behalf of the team, the Ag. GM of the CRSCSDA, Mr Fidel Udie assured His Excellency of the committee's resolve to work for the good of the state. He assured that the efforts to be brought on board will see to the significant reduction in poverty and vulnerabilities of Crossriverians.
