Kwande is an emerging community in Quan-Pan Local Government Area, located in the Southern Senatorial District of Plateau State.
The community and in fact, most parts of Southern Zone of Plateau State, is known as a difficult terrain when it comes to portable drinking water. However, with due diligence, Plateau State Community and Social Development Agency has been able to break this jinx and today several communities are now proud owners of portable drinking water on a sustainable basis.
Just like water is life, the provision of access roads to boost socio-economic activities in the rural communities cannot be over-emphasized.
Plateau State because of its rocky terrain has subjected rural dwellers to untold hardships. So, the intervention of CSDP in communities based on their ‘felt needs’ provided a high level of relief as movement of farm produce from the remote hinterlands to the nearest urban center is something was received with joy by benefitting communities.

Education is key. But when there are competing demands from the Government, there is the need to change the narrative through interventions that are quite unusual but for the benefit of the rural poor.
And actually they decide what they need not anybody forcing it through their throats. The transformation in the Education Sector, through Community and Social Development Project, CSDP, being implemented by Plateau State Community and Social Development Agency, PLCSDA, with Support from the State Government and World Bank, has succeeded in making the difference.
Communication is key to the successful beginning and closure of projects thus the training of CSDP Communication Officers has greater impact on the CSDP closure and commencement of the Nigeria CARES project. National Coordinator (NC) of the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP), Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje has said.
The training of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) staff at this period will equip the participants with the requisite set skills and knowledge to perform optimally in the proposed CARES Nigeria Project. This was the central message of the National Coordinator of CSDP, Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje to the participants of the three Cross Cutting trainings going on concurrently in Minna, Ibadan and Lokoja. The Training is organized by the Federal Project Support Unit (FPSU) and facilitated by reputable Training firms.
