Projects & Programs

At CSDP, we are committed to the development of communities nationwide, our project are focused on 8 sectorial areas of intervention namely; Education, Health, Rural electrification, Clean Water supply, Transportation, Socio-economic developmental areas, Environment / Natural resources, and Gender / Vulnerable groups. The project is assisted by the World Bank and co-financed by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the participating states. All our projects are expected to have a positive impact with respect to human development outcomes through the financing of social and economic common goods as well as upward and downward accountability between communities and local Government Areas and States

1. Physical Infrastructure

  • Feeder roads: construction and rehabilitation
  • Culverts, bridges, drifts and stock routes
  • Boreholes (with or without pumps)

2. Social Infrastructure

  • Health facilities
  • Potable water supply facilities
  • Rural electrification
  • Construction and rehabilitation of primary and secondary schools, dormitory blocks and classrooms, staff quarters, laboratories.
  • Ventilated improved pit (VIP) toilets
  • Television viewing centers
  • Civic centers
  • Water transportation (provision of engine boats, speed boats, etc)

3. Other Infrastructure

  • Rural  market facilities
  • Vocational training centers (skill development centers)

4. Environmental and Natural Resources Management

  • Soil conservation /erosion control/flood control.
  • Agro-forestry.
  • Desertification control.
  • Water catchment systems.
  • Drainage systems.
  • Community woodlots, using indigenous species, including woodlots for fuel wood.
  • Decentralized nurseries raising seedlings of economic trees, indigenous tree/grass species and medicinal plants.

Safety Net Support:

  • Assistance to vulnerable community members to enable them access to improved social and natural resource infrastructure services.
