Amanato-Anioma Isu is a remote agrarian Community in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The Community, like many others, lack basic social amenities including basic health care services. The distance of the Community to the state capital takes approximately three hours due to the dilapidated nature of their road.
Umuanum is one of the Communities in Uburu in Ohaozara L.G.A, covering a land mass of over 10.03 square km with an estimated population of about 7,682. Their main occupation is farming and trading.
The bailey bridge that crosses Ebonyi River at Akpoha Community was constructed by the Nigerian Army Engineering Corps after the existing bridge was destroyed during the Nigerian civil war.
Ndukwe Community in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, before Agency intervention depended on streams, ponds and few Hand Pump Water boreholes across the community as their source of water for consumption and domestic use.
Ndudara Community is located in Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. Before Agency’s intervention, the only accessible route to the community was through a bamboo bridge constructed by members of the community. This bridge, apart from ferrying foot-travelers across to the other side of the road could hardly support any vehicular activity.
Ebonyi State CSDA embarked on the support of the Construction of a Primary School 6-Classroom Block in Omakorie Community, Abakaliki LGA through a formal request made by the community. Before the construction of this classroom block, the existing Primary and Secondary schools in the community were sharing the same compound.
Communication is key to the successful beginning and closure of projects thus the training of CSDP Communication Officers has greater impact on the CSDP closure and commencement of the Nigeria CARES project. National Coordinator (NC) of the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP), Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje has said.
The training of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) staff at this period will equip the participants with the requisite set skills and knowledge to perform optimally in the proposed CARES Nigeria Project. This was the central message of the National Coordinator of CSDP, Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje to the participants of the three Cross Cutting trainings going on concurrently in Minna, Ibadan and Lokoja. The Training is organized by the Federal Project Support Unit (FPSU) and facilitated by reputable Training firms.
