Amachi Nsulu is a community in Nsulu Isiala Ngwa North LGA. Nsulu was previously one of the fastest growing areas in the 1980s in Abia State, Nigeria. With the completion of the Health center an end has come to the untimely death of their people especially women and little children.
Okafia Igbere a rural community in Bende LGA of the state is about 41km from the state capital.This community had a lot of problems for which they came together and resolved to seek the Agency’s assistance in funding various projects (including a VIP toilet). The completion of the VIP Toilet has improved the sanitary condition of the community
Umuire people started a journey that seemed unending in the year 2002, they started the building of their civic hall and could not finish it.
Today, the community now boasts of a beautiful structure called “OVU EZUMEZU” NDI UMUIRE through the assistance of the Abia CSDP. The project has provided a comfortable meeting place and a place for social gathering in the community.
Oboroji Ututu a rural community in Arochukwu LGA of the state is about 71.9km from the state capital.
The Community members said that ever since the completion of the water Bore Hole project and the road Rehabilitation project, an end has come to water borne diseases, they can also easily go to their farms and even use motorcycles or cars to the farm.
This rural community had suffered a lot due to difficulty in getting access to good drinking water. The community had relied on a seasonal stream along a slippery, rocky and unmotorable road which is about 5 km from the community Centre for their drinking water. This made it very difficult for children and the elderly People in the community to fetch water. This prompted them to apply to the Agency for funding assistance. At a well-attended PRA facilitation, the community prioritized water and feeder road for the Agency’s intervention.
