LGA DISTRIBUTION OF COMPLETED MICRO PROJECTS
The Abia State Community and Social Development Project (Abia-CSDP) has been commended for effectively implementing the grassroots development strategy of the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led administration across communities in the state.
Speaking during the project launch of a Civic Hall and Skills Acquisition Center for Umuanya Okpuala Umuopara Community in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, Barr. Jerry Uzosike, the Honourable Member representing Umuahia South in the State House of Assembly, made this commendation while stating that the project was in line with the development objectives of the present administration.
It is on record that since the sudden outbreak of Corona Virus, all Government agencies and individual establishments has suffered great setbacks due to the Lockdown order by Government to save her citizens. Virtually after one week into the lockdown, ABIA-CSDP ably led by Dr. Chinatu P. Njoku launched an online Operation channel through which all communities and groups under funding for ongoing projects are hooked.

Okafia Igbere a rural community in Bende LGA of the state is about 41km from the state capital.This community had a lot of problems for which they came together and resolved to seek the Agency’s assistance in funding various projects (including a VIP toilet). The completion of the VIP Toilet has improved the sanitary condition of the community
Amachi Nsulu is a community in Nsulu Isiala Ngwa North LGA. Nsulu was previously one of the fastest growing areas in the 1980s in Abia State, Nigeria. With the completion of the Health center an end has come to the untimely death of their people especially women and little children.
The training of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) staff at this period will equip the participants with the requisite set skills and knowledge to perform optimally in the proposed CARES Nigeria Project. This was the central message of the National Coordinator of CSDP, Dr. Abdulkarim Obaje to the participants of the three Cross Cutting trainings going on concurrently in Minna, Ibadan and Lokoja. The Training is organized by the Federal Project Support Unit (FPSU) and facilitated by reputable Training firms.
