“Ahia Nvosi” is a popular place for the marketing of various agricultural produce from various rural communities in the area far and near. On a typical market day, the market over flows and blocks the main road which traverses it, exposing the traders, their wares and customers to danger. Also, there is hardly space and / or platform to display the produce.

With government assistance through the agency of ABIA CSDP, the Umunkpeyi community of Isiala Ngwa South, Abia State embarked on the construction of 5 no 10 units of open market stalls and electricity projects which have all been completed and effectively in use.

The Abia State Agency for Community and Social Development Project has embarked on a comprehensive monitoring of all her assisted community/group micro projects. These include micro projects completed from 2009 to date. The aims of the visit are to ensure sustainability of the projects beyond the Project closure, ensure environmental mitigation measures are strictly followed and to provide technical assistance to those that require same.

The Amachi Nsulu community, Isiala Ngwa North remains eternally grateful to the Government and Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for their impact on rural development especially through the Agency of Abia CSDP.

The community has witnessed a marked transformation in the past 5 years with the execution of several micro-projects in their community development plans

Speaking during the project launch of a Civic Hall and Skills Acquisition Center for Umuanya Okpuala Umuopara Community in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, Barr. Jerry Uzosike, the Honourable Member representing Umuahia South in the State House of Assembly, made this commendation while stating that the project was in line with the development objectives of the present administration.

It is on record that since the sudden outbreak of Corona Virus, all Government agencies and individual establishments has suffered great setbacks due to the Lockdown order by Government to save her citizens. Virtually after one week into the lockdown, ABIA-CSDP ably led by Dr. Chinatu P. Njoku launched an online Operation channel through which all communities and groups under funding for ongoing projects are hooked.

Amachi Nsulu is a community in Nsulu Isiala Ngwa North LGA. Nsulu was previously one of the fastest growing areas in the 1980s in Abia State, Nigeria. Due to rural urban migration caused by poor state of existing infrastructure and lack of new social amenities the community suffered a setback in developmentAmachi Nsulu is a community in Nsulu Isiala Ngwa North LGA. Due to rural urban migration caused by poor state of existing infrastructure and lack of new social amenities the community suffered a setback in development..  With the completion of the Health center an end has come to the untimely death of their people especially women and little children.

Okafia Igbere a rural community in Bende LGA of the state is about 41km from the state capital.This community had a lot of problems for which they came together and resolved to seek the Agency’s assistance in funding various projects (including a VIP toilet). The completion of the VIP Toilet has improved the sanitary condition of the community

The ABIA CSDP is an Agency of the state government established by law number 2 of 2009 and its amendment, the ABIA-CSDP law number 2 of 2009. The project is one of the development projects in the World Bank portfolio
